Genome Informatics
We provide bioinformatics services and collaborations in association with sequencing runs performed at the FGCZ. For a list of specific analytic applications, please visit the genomics page. Please inquire to learn more about our offering at
Additionally, we make software services available to help users analyze and interpret their data.
For any questions and detailed information about the content of this page, do not hesitate to contact us at
Web-based services:
Data access: all the data generated at the FGCZ are made available for access and download by means of several transfer protocols, i.e., HTTP, FTP, sFTP, or project-specific SMB mounts. external page download options
Sushi-Apps for reproducible data processing and analysis. Full paper Download here (PDF, 1.4 MB). If already member of a project at the FGCZ, login at external page fgcz-sushi.uzh.ch
Shiny-Apps for interactive data visualization and exploration. For a list of the availble tools, please look at external page fgcz-shiny.uzh.ch .

Commandline access
Public FGCZ linux server, equipped with the most widely used NGS software. Typically, the nodes of this cluster are shared with others.
- Private FGCZ linux server, wherer specific nodes can be assigned to a specific project for a certain amount of time. Hardware is hosted by S3IT.

NGS data publication to ENA/SRA: submitting data to public repositories has become routine in association with the publications of manuscript. We recommend to submit to the ENA (European Nucleotide Archive), which is mirrored at the SRA (Short Read Archive). Detailed instructions are provided on request.
